ok i just finished installing the motor and regulator myself, to install the motor and regulator is sooooo easy even a caveman can do it, it took me a total of 45min to uninstall and install . seriously this installation was one of the easiest instals of my life, to remove the back seat was harder.. anyone that ever should have a problem with the motor just give me a PM and ill guide you step by step. by the way motor + regulator cost me 126.49 at FORD stealership.

As I'm sure you noticed, the motor on the replaced unit is still functional. Thats why you were able to hear it working even though the window wasn't moving. Instead its the inferior cable system that Ford developed which keeps failing. More specifically its the little plastic clips that keep the cables aligned which keeps breaking and allowing the cables to get out of alignment and twists around the pulleys. I agree that this is a simple repair but in my opinion it would be completely unnecessary to do so if Ford had engineered this component properly in the first place.
