hey mk, the same thing happened to me about 2 months ago. My mark lt had 500 miles on when it happened. I fought Ford for 29 days before they agreed to do a buy back. They could not get the new engine in the 30 day out of service part of the lemon law. The engine was on back order at the time. I am now enjoying the replacement Mark LT with about 2200 miles now, and so far so good. I hope they work it out for you. Good luck man.
Oh and i had a really long thread about the situation, you might want to look it up and make sure they dont start treating you badly.

The dealer reported that I needed a brand new engine. He also said there was another F150 in the shop waiting for a new engine that had only 1,500 miles on it.
As the story goes, there was a bad run of thrust bearings from a Ford supplier and this was happening all over the country. The typical wait for a new engine is now 2-3 weeks. They expect that as this problem grows, there will be a 2-3 month wait for new engines.
The moral to the story is that if you are experiencing these idol problems with your new truck, take it to the dealer immediately to get in line ASAP for the new engine.
Good luck,

Sorry you're having problems with th new truck. Happy to hear they're fixing it. I know the vast majority of owners on this site will tell you they love their 04+ f150's, and I'm one of them. My truck has been great! Eventually you'll be singing the same tune.

I think that if she was going to GAG an engine, it would have happened by now!..........
