Chill pill.

Nobody's hating on the Volant.... certainly not me. I've written about my loyalty to Volant in the past and still think it's a top-notch, high quality intake. If you were to take the figures that weazel posted earlier in this piece, well, those numbers give the edge to the S&B.... albeit by a spiders ****. That's all that's being said.

Sure, some here make claim of the Volant's restrictiveness at certain engine revolutions, but some [others] like me, have never experienced this.

As for your claims that "... 289rwhp is possiable," absolutely it's possible [with an intake and Edge]. Somewhat unlikely, but possible nonetheless.

A dyno readout would squash any doubts.... no doubt.

Like I said.... chill pill.

I have the Volant, And if anyone would like to buy it, let's talk. I have had my truck down to TP, on the Dyno. I believe that's why i got the nickname Dyno Hawg.... My truck was difficult to dial in, and "I" believe that the Volant Intake was/is the problem. Mike at TP was able to tune my truck, but my truck did not make the power that others made. I currently run the Volant "Lidless" to obtain better performance, but i will be switching to the AF1 in the near future.

05_F150,

not sure why you come on here squawking like a freaking bird. If you actually read the thread. No one here was attacking volant, you defend volant like its your child or they pay you too. All i did was do a comparison test... between the two, to see if there was a diff. And from the results it does seem to be a difference im not saying this was the most efficient way to test, and the most accurate.. but something happen between using the two different intake.

i dont know why your taking it so personal... its not like this "test" or this thread is inconvenient to you life..

Ive been a hard core volant fan too... however the S&B makes a great product for the F150 as well..

Thumbs up Just replaced K&N w/ Volant!

I don't know if the Volant is restrictive or not, but the K&N intake is a peice of s**t compared to the Volant. Throttle is way more responsive now. Of course I do have the air scoop installed also, and that may be helping out tremendously. All I know is, man what a difference!!!

Post pics of the dyno as well Rick. I want to see if there's a heater anywhere near it or if it's calibrated at 20,000 feet above sea level

Just having some fun In all honesty, I'm having a hard time believing you're really getting that kind of horsepower with just those mods. It sounds too good to be true.
