Need cluster reprogramed!

Just left a rant on the Quality Is Job 1 thread on this subject. I want to buy a lariat cluster for my '05 xl 150 but can't find a dealer to program it for me. I'm trying to find a dealer before I buy one so I don't waste any money on a cluster that sits on the shelf collecting dust. Anyone have any suggestions. I feel like I'm SCREWED! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey I got a ROUSH cluster for my 04. I need it programmed too. It's still sitting in my closet in its ROUSH PERFORMANCE box. How about sending some help my way too? Hehe, if I can't get the mileage programed on that cluster I will probably have to sell it.

If you are tossing around helpful information about programming please throw some info my way as well.

e-mail address is matthew_spitz@hotmail.com

Have a lariat cluster sitting on my shelf collecting dust as well as the message center switch, but I do need to find the part number for the wire harness to hook it up.

I will send you the guys info in your email....also the wiring pigtail for the message center switch is WPT586. I get all my stuff from www.getfordparts.com If you put in that WPT586 in the part# search it will come up with the price etc..

Wiring diagram?

Ok, I have the cluster, the message center switch and the plug w/ pig tails. Anyone have the wiring diagram to where the pigtails are connected to my wire harness? There's 6 wires altogether but I thought there was only 2. Can anyone help. Thanks! Oh yeah, do I have to order a new bezel? Or can I just cut the new switch into my bezel?

Hey there. Glad it all worked out for you. As far as the switch goes, The one I showed in the previous posts, I cut that in myself. I used a hole-saw to drill out the ends round and then cut out the middle with a hack saw blade. Just be careful because there isn't much room for error or it will show. I will post a pic of the hole I cut and a wiring diagram shortly.

Here is a picture of the hole that I cut out. Just measure the switch CAREFULLY. I actually cut it out a little small at first on purpose and used a file to finish it up so it wouldn't be too big. I believe the hole-saw was a 7/8" but don't quote me on that. Also when I first installed the switch, it was tight and the buttons actually got stuck in when I pushed them so I had to file it some more. Also you can see I had to file notches to accept the switch tabs. Good luck! Will post a wiring diagram next.

Hey tmd, thanks for the cluster and info. Also just to let you, I did not use your guy to have the cluster reprogrammed. Had it done locally.Going to do the switches later this week.
