20" Michelin LTX/MS

I currently have the OEM Pirreli Scorpion 20" tires and will probably need to replace them in the next 10K miles. I like the tires and most likely will buy them again, but I noticed that Michelin makes that size tire in a LTX/MS which is also a good (but expensive) tire. Anybody have these 20" Michelin's on their truck? I would love to see a picture of them. Thanks. Jon

Don't have the tires you're looking for but the Pirelli tire ( which I do have) is rated #1 on tire rack and is 'bout $100 bucks less......

I agree, the Pirelli tires are very good and most likely what I'll get. I went in today for a balance and checked on price at discount tire and was surprised to be quoted $190/each installed for the Pirelli's. That was a lot higher than I had anticipated. Jon

Michelin LTX M/S is a great tire. Smooth and quite with great traction in all sorts of conditions. Look around you'll probably notice a lot of 3/4 ton trucks running them. Like anything, there are some who like them and some who say their crap. I've had many sets of the M/S and the A/T's over the years and find the tire life balances out the cost. I've gotten over 100K out of my A/T's.

Hope this helps

The OEM Pirreli Scorpion 20"s are a great tire. My only gripe is that the seem to flat spot easy if left in one place too long. It goes away with a little driving, but the initial drive seems a little rougher when she's been sitting a while. I haven't heard any similar comments from the Michelin tires, though.

My truck came with Goodyear Eagle LS2 275-55-20.Before I bought my truck I looked at the reviews on the LS2's onTirerack.Everybody said they were a horrible tire and didn't stay balanced.I bought the truck anyway and I like the tires. They are quiet and ride smooth and mine have stayed balanced.Go figure?? I think they cost $156 each at tirerack.

I too hope someone has a picture or can take some of the LTX M/S mounted on a 20" wheel.

I've had Michelins LTX M/S on my old truck with 16" rims and on my "06 F-150 when it had 17" wheels. I think they are one of the best all season tires around and they just seem to wear forever.

I currently have Ford factory 20" wheels on my 2006 truck with General Grabber UHP's in 295/50R20 and I love the performance so far but these won't last forever. They say these tires wear fairly fast but the grip on wet and dry pavement is freakin' incredible.

I'm thinking about going back the Michelins in 275/55R20 as well despite the outrageous price for the 20" LTX M/S when replacement time rolls around.

Pictures anyone???

I've seen the LTX M/S on a Titan in 20's. Looked v nice. I'd stick w the Pirelli though. Its a great tire. Perhaps the Michellin has improved I know @ 10+ years ago it didn't last. I'm sure they've improved since. There is also the new Michellin LTX A/T2 which just debuted June 4th. Check that out. The Michellin tech guy admitted on the phone its a much better tire than what they currently offer and they needed something new to get any mkt share.

Best tire I ever owned - 10 times better than the Genera's which came on the truck.

Here you go

I had them on my old 2004 Lariat. They wore quicker than the other sets of LTX-MS I have had on vehicles in the past.

Michelin is my favorite tire.

Yep, they do good in the snow and ice!
