Present from work.....

The guy was mowing and instead of turning off the blade when going over the cement/gravel, he left it on.....sent gravel pieces straight through the back and inside my truck along with a million pieces of glass. I've never had this happened, so I was shocked that it shattered just like that...I would have assumed a large crack or something.
Oh well, it was just one of those days....I was able to keep my cool with the guy, but it was difficult to say the least. No visible paint damage that I could find, so that was positive...

I did that once to my old F150. Using a blade edger, you know the old ones that used to kick dirt and rocks forward away from you. It launched a pebble 20-25 feet right through drivers side door glass, made a noise loud enough for me to here over the edger motor. Lots of laughs at work next day

All of the windows in modern cars except the windshield are tempered. The windshields are safety glass, which is two sheets of glass bonded to a layer of plastic between them. You can't have tempered glass in the windshield because you wouldn't want it shattering like it did if you are driving and get hit with a small stone.
