yeah my friend has an '05 infiniti g35 and he has kind of the same setup, he doesn't have the start button but he can turn the ignition to start the car and drive off while the keys are in his pocket. is there any way to do that for our trucks? or by installing the chip sensor in like the cup holder or something, so that we just have to drop the keys in the cup holder and press the start button and drive off. would that be possible?!

It sucks when I walk up to the truck without pulling my keys out, expecting it to open... lol
Nice mod! I've been thinking of installing a starter button. I think it gives the vehicle a more "racy" feel. I thought about relocating the key undre the seat or something to clean up the column. Still haven't decided yet...I'm still in my planning stages, as I just got my truck a month ago.

If State Farm had any clue how "bullet proof" my Code Alarm system works they would be lookin for their discount back.......
7. If the button is pushed again (after the truck is running) it will shut off. This keeps the starter from engaging during engine operation too.
I use it when I need to run into the corner store I can press the button (while the truck is running w/ key in) it will engage the ignition, so it stays running, then I can REMOVE the key and it will STAY RUNNING.

These two statements seem contradictory, I just want to clarify.
Nice looking mod either way; practical or not.
So if the button is pushed while the truck is running it will shut off.... but if you press the button while the truck is running *and* the key is in, then it will continue running and the key can be removed?

Yes and yes... just like remote start.
I've got the S200 starter button in my car as well. It only works with the key in the on position. I think it's cool and it also got rid of that stupid power point in the dash that was ugly. The billet pieces for there are like $50 and don't do anything.
Yup.. I agree.
