Yes! The point is not having to press the start on the key fob for the listed reasons in the first thread. But I do sometime start it with the fob ahead of time…. Just not all the time.

It is a bullet proof setup as the alarm CA670 runs the security.
Actually, I get an insurance discount for this alarm…

Please re-read the post and maybe it will make some more sense the next time around....

The security is - IF someone started it they CANNOT drive it without the key in. Locked steering! I am starting for reasons I listed already.

They could, but I have passive arming on the alarm(the doors lock and arm after a min). So the truck never goes unlocked after the doors are shut for a minute....

Also, it pages the fob when it starts... so I know, ya know?

Plus, I can disable it with the hidden “kill switch”, IF I am leaving the truck in a non-secure environment.

How bout this one MOM

No key and No key cylinder.
Toggle switch is for accessory and when you hit the start button it latches on the ignition. When you shut off the toggle it shuts everything down. Theres a ca-640 set to 30sec start kill so the button doesn't do anything after 30 secs unless you hit the disarm. And why's that shifter sticking straight out of the dash??

Cool...you have actually complicated the process.
WTF?

In the past I have read your "comments" in threads.
Most all of time I had some faith that you HAD some smarts... I am going to write it off as you "pretending to know" how to read.

Watch the VIDEO!
Pay close attention, THERE IS NO KEY IN THE IGNITION!

Everything was clear as day in the first thread. I am using Code Alarms 670 to START THE TRUCK WITHOUT THE KEY IN!

I am hoping your smarts aren't as counterfeit as your Mark LT.....

Yes, but is there no steering? So you still have to put the key in the ignition to drive it, correct?.

Yep. The whole point is to have some kind of "security".

But IF a stranger could just jump in, start it, and drive off... then it wouldn't be very secure then, would it? Hmmm...?

Pretty dumb to put a start button in without some kind of security to it.
Then ANYONE could steal it!

If you're going to do this modification, I guess that is the way to do it. On the car that this is made for do you have to put the key in, or is it fully functional?

The Honda S2000 requires you to put the key in BEFORE YOU CAN start it with the button, like Josiah's push button mod.

THIS MOD you can start it WITHOUT the key, JUST NOT drive it anywhere. This boosts up the coolness factor of the mod.

Also - it will only run for 15 mins and shut off, IF it was ever left running for whatever crazy reason.

This allows me to run in and back out of the store (on those hot or cold days) without turning off the truck or leaving the keys in it. I can lock and arm it with the key fob too.
You should be able to do that with your alarm/remote start pager, I can do it with my 791xv..

OK, OK, OK, you really got me on that one....I guess I should have said IF YOU WANT TO DRIVE IT you still have to put the key in the ignition. So I guess you can do it reverse of what I said: reach down and push the button...then put the key in the ignition and turn it on. Still an extra step to a process there was nothing wrong with to start with....IMO. But thats just IMO...if you like it and think its super cool and snazzy...CONGRATS!
