4.6 vs 5.4 Again
I have just gotten stupider(see i even make up stupid frickin words) by reading this $h1t. Come on, ridge, you have no clue of what you are talking about and you clearly cannot tell the truth.
Trans Ams do not run a 4.9 0-60 stock, its 5.1, trust me, I have an 02 black WS6, I have done my research.
You claim to be able to beat any 5.4, then its a 5.4 2v, then its youll be able to beat a 3v Screw, then youll be able to beat them with frickin nitrous... make up your mind.
I feel that it is nauseating that you call your formula a trans am because "noone knows what a formula is" ---Are you serious???? you just figured noone knew the difference until someone called you out.
I suggest that we all be honest with each other and admit that 4.6's are not going to beat a 5.4 unless there is some serious advantages given to the 4.6(the 5.4 towing a boat perhaps, or maybe a blown coil pack, or maybe a reg cab with no bed vs a screw with 6 people in it and a fuel tank and a tool box in the bed)
And that we all ask that this thread is renamed to either "A few people who want to make themselves feel good by claiming they have beat 5.4's and the 5.4 owners revolting and poking fun at the ignorance of those very people, and one honest 4.6L owner with his head out of his *** siding w the 5.4 guys" OR my personal favorite: "Ridge sticking his foot in his mouth over and over again about everything that is mentioned"

are you serious there is several places where you can find info on transam's hitting 4.9 0-60's and the formula is a 5.1, i never said i beat all the 5.4's i said ive beatin my parents about 4 differnt times, as for the 3v like i said a single cab 4.6 could probley take a screw 5.4 for the weight reason alone, but i havent lined up with a 3v 5.4, ive lined up with other trucks and ive beat some and lost some
Do you have links to back that up, perhaps you read it on some forum where people similar to yourself boast their bs, but they do it in 5.1. Maybe the guys who got 4.9 got their computers "turned up" by the stealership.
But last time I checked this was an f-150 forum...so im done arguing about this nonsense, and back the the point at hand here...you said you can beat 5.4's and didn't specify as to which ones...but the more people call you out the more it changes...next its going to be well there was a wooden block under the accelerator, and the brakes were locked...give us all a break man and follow a quote told to me since my young days

Well all I can say is I know for a fact my 2000 WS6 Vert was faster than at least 2 (probably stock) Mach 1s. I raced one from a roll and a stop and the other from a stop and beat both pretty easily....we probaly ran a little less than a 1/4 mile but I was pulling on them both when we stopped. My car did have the performance gear option, and automatic, a SLP lid and Borla exhaust. I can also say a 03-04 Cobra would out run me quite easily...so to say a Mach 1 is faster than a Cobra is about as stupid as saying a 4.6 is faster than a 5.4.
As for the new Mustang GTs....hmm I didn't know they were supposed to be that fast. I might have to take the Hawk out this weekend and look for one.

can we let this thread die? I ain't posting again unless someone says something amazingly dumb again.
Guys, post some examples of bone stock 1/4 mile trap speeds and call it a day. Trap speed is the best indicator of how fast a vehicle is. 0-60 times mean nothing. I should know, my STI will take a viper to 60 then fall on its face.
