Just installed my outalw intake yesterday. No CEL yet, hope not ever. Definitely noticed increased response. Every once in a while, there is a vibration in the pedal and a moderate growl/humming noise under the hood. My first experience adding an intake. From what I've read on the forum, this is normal. ?.
Seems like it my magnaflow exhaust a little louder. Sounds great.
No rattle for me yet.
Will give more feedback after driving with it for a while.

Hope you have better luck with it then me.. I have started to think about taking mine off. Gotta say, it does sound nice when I'm accelerating heavy, but I never noticed a increase in MPGs. My rubber elbow is pressed hard against the firewall foam stuff, and I guess that is what is making all the creaking noise for me.. That alone is enough for me to take it off.. It sounds like something is loose under the hood.

I have a few hundred miles on it now, and never did get a CEL. I do get a pretty harsh vibration when accelerating and it hits a certain rpm though. I'm not sure if performance is any better. It seems like it is, but the noise might juset seem like it is. Glad I didn't pay more than $150 otherwise I'd be .

Yeah, it makes power.
See the YouTube video of it being dyno'ed here from a forum member:

some of you have said that 04s have a more sensitive computer with these intake installations...so did people with 04s have CELs when they installed their volant or AF1 intakes?? i installed my K&N intake on my 04 the other night (my 04 was one of the very first off the assembly line) and had no problems, no CELs nothing. it added a decent amount of power too, i like it a lot.

Had mine on almost a month and no CELs. Did have an increase in mpg since installing. Happy so far.

I haven't had a lean code yet. When that happens, what does the screen say on your edge? Does is it flash at you? Or do you have to go find the codes in the menu? FYI I have not had anything show up on my edge since I have had it. Do I need to go looking for something or would it pop up on the screen?

I never had that problem but im sure the wrench light comes on and when you check it with the Edge it tells you what it is.

Got the intake through the group buy pricing. Just installed it this morning. Great deal. Install was a bit frustrating because the online and supplied instructions are both for the one tube design. Since the new setup has the two tube design, it was a bit confusing on how to position the smaller tube that has the return tube and the MAF sensor. I put the end that tapers down toward the throttle body (the 90 degree rubber tube). I don't know if that's right or not. But I got everything put in and have taken it for a test drive, freeway, WOT, around town. So far, a very nice intake. Much better than the Volant, it with the EDGE, was unbearable noise and vibration wise. The Outlaw has a nice throaty, power sound and seems to work well with the EDGE, (I keep it on level 2 with 2.5 timing). No dashboard lights So far, I'd say this intake is a keeper, and I've tried a few If anyone can shed light on whether I installed the small tube right or not, I'd appreciate it. I'm going to drop Aaron an email and ask him as well.

The small crankcase breather tube must go toward the firewall so the it is behind the MAF sensor, not ahead of it.

Thanks kd4crs! That's how I installed it. I just got back from a short trip up to Red Rocks and Lookout Mountain just west of Denver. Nice performance sound the whole way. The intake seems to be a great addition to my EDGE and Gibson catbacks. I hope this is it for my performance mods. Thanks again for your response.
