Even when I had the skyjacker 3" kit in my '05, it netted me an 1/8 inch left LESS than the 2.5" Autospring.
OR,
just buy the autospring, which you KNOW is recommended by hundreds of people on here and save yourself a few $$$..

why do you want to run an AAL? yes, the 3" will make her sit front up until an AAL is installed. You can fit 35" tires with the stock rear-end right now. The front also, but they will rub on full turn and while articulating offroad.
edit: I meant to say you can fit 35" tires on all 4 corners once the 2.5" spacer is installed.

I have an 04 2WD with the 2.5" leveling kit (Ebay) that sits on top of the coilover. I will be taking mine off, b/c I'm getting poor tire wear and the front end sits up a little higher than the rear. I DO NOT like the way the upper control arm contacts the spring when raised off the ground. It seems like it's forcing the front end to be something it's not. Like body roll in turns I never had before the leveling kit. And the mech. that did the alignment, said one of my adjustments was WAY out. I'll prob drop the rear to level it now.

1. what brand of spacer do you have?
2. If you're getting bad tire wear, it means you either have P rated tires and/or that your alignment is not correct
3. an improperly designed spacer kit will cause your control arm to contact the coil-over spring. that is why the offset Autosprings spacer is the best on the market.
4. the leveling kit will have no affect on your body roll. at all. the spring rate is never affected since you don't take the coil-over apart. Did you re-install the front swaybar?
5. for a spacer kit, the alignment specs will be off the same amount from side to side. all this kit does is push the toe in. you aren't even aligning the tires for straightness, just for an even contact patch.
it sounds like you bought a cheap POS leveling kit. and whoever did you alignment didn't do it properly.

I've seen posts where guys have had the exact same kit for 50,000+ miles without any issue at all.

you shouldn't have much if any extra body roll. the center of gravity will only raise about 1".
You're not doing much suspension wise. I didn't think of the shocks, but that seems to be your most likely culprit. I'd still say your alignment needs checked.

An AAL will get you about 1.5-2" of lift, so you will end up about 1" higher in the rear +/- alittle. Another route that you could go if you are just wanting to raise the rear up a little bit it to put air bags under the rear end. I did this and I am very happy, with 20psi in the bags it raised the back about 3/4" and with 1500lbs of patio blocks in the bed on sunday it sat just about dead level. I pumped them up to 40 psi and it raised the rear 3/8" past level.

took <3 hours with basic handtools. I did have to go buy a 30mm socket though. the Autosprings instructions tell you exactly what tools you will need and exactly how to do it.

I personally will never use another Autospring product after the way I was treated by their "Customer (lack of) Service". It looks like something that a person made in his garage. The paint was still wet on mine when I got them. I had the 2.5" Autospring on my '04 F150 and it was fine until I added heavier wheels and tires. After that, the upper control arm would hit the coil spring any time I would drive over a sharp drop, like a speed bump. When I complained, I was basically told to go screw myself and it started a huge ugly thread on this site. No Autospring for me...never again!
so were you one of the reasons why they have started the offset spacer now?
you can't get one of those "old" style spacers from them anymore. looks like you were a victim of R&D on the road
I've had my tires fully stuff and fully drooped since the install. there has not been any contact or noise. as long as you get the offset spacer, you're fine.
