RAFA26. Not a track slip but i am impressed very impressed.

I don't know how accurate a Vector FX2 is but i am very impressed with the truck anyway !
0 reduction weight, half tank of gas, 24 inch HEAVY wheels, spare tire, me 6.4" and 280 pounds, bad single plate converter, very conservative engine break in tune etc...
Launching in 4WD.

Made 3 X 1/4 mile runs, all of them in less than 12.4s and the best one was:

1/4= 12.28s@108.8
60 foot= 1.70s

Best 0 to 60mph= 3.78s.

Now i can see that 11.5 or less can be a reality. Sorry about the pictures quality.

I could see it possibly with the S/C set up you have but how much power is that thing putting out (dyno sheet in other thread you said was under-rated)?

To move a near 6,000 lb truck that fast is crazy!

Those are awesome numbers, I too believe mid 11's are possible now. This is awesome, this is me begging you for video's Rafa. Your video's will be the most downloaded on this entire site, thats a guarantee. Get a 0-60 in the cab, get a flyby of your truck from outside the truck, and then a burnout and you'll make a great friend :]

What a beast you've made that thing to be, is it possible for you to explain the power and how it feels to drive it. What does half throttle feel like? Is the power scary at times? As you can tell I've no idea what it feels to drive something so fast, kudo's to you Rafa.

Rafa, sometimes I think you should have went with a diesel. The possibilities on those seem endless and cheaper. Then again you did the unthinkable with an already slow engine.

RAFA26, BREAK IN TUNE:
Detuned because of a bad TC, 10 psi only !

Josiah remember that i am still with the break in tune and it's detuned because of the bad converter. I am still expecting to get another 150RWHP for the street tune when we raise the boost to the limits controlling detonation of course. The truck drives very nice on the street if you control the pedal. At half throttle it reacts promptly and becomes dangerous if you don't know what you are doing, the 24" wheels and 33" tires feels like race wheels with stock tires and spin very easily.
At full throttle it growls crazy pulls like a roller coaster and make sure you do that on straight roads only !
0 to 60mph in 3.78s is a lot of fun witha 6000lbs truck, i almost didn't believe when i saw that numbers, the other 2 where 3.80s and 3.83s.
If the Vector FX2 is right, that's faster than a the new 500HP corvette Z06 !

I'm willing to bet that those 0-60 numbers are incorrect. If it just measured the time it takes to get to 60MPH then your wheel slippage would make for a very fast 0-60. I hope i am being clear. I respect your truck like nothing else but i just think the 0-60 time is so low due to tire slippage.

I'm sure it's using an accelerometer and not readings from the trucks computer. In other words those times should be correct, as it uses the accelerometer to determine what speed the truck is at, not the speed of the tires.

Edit: It's definitely using an accelerometer, depending on how accurate the Fx2 is, it's a true 3.7 second 0-60.

Tire slippage ??? What's that dude ??? You guys didn't read the thread ???
You have no idea what's launching in 4WD. The truck jumps like a frog in steroids and there is no slippage at all.

That was a lot of fun.

Just one more thing, i forgot to add that i had a corvette 2 years ago (2003 C5 manual 400HP) and the truck feels a lot faster than the vette.

I've seen a 4wd launch on a diesel track truck. Not pretty at all, be careful Rafa. I pray nothing breaks on you. I'd say the weakpoints are your hubs and tcase internals. I really wanna "hear" your truck, can't wait.

Damn that is sick, I wanna see your truck eat a Titan for lunch!!! How comparable are those numbers to a street bike?

What do you mean Josiah ? Explain me your concerns about 4WD launching ? I want to dig deeper on that.
