I'll try to snare a few pics... my install is very similar to Luke's though.

I really wish I would've taken a few pics of the overall install -- although, it was very easy. I will say that the Reed switch is *THE WAY TO GO*! Mine is set so that when you open the lid, it comes on (no plungers to worry with).

I've been wanting to do this for a while, anyone know how to disassemble the center seat (bench) console?

I've tried a little here and there, but its like it doesn't come apart...and the manuals are, dare I say....lacking...in detail.

thanks

???

There are 3 or 4 screws that seperate the inner lid fron the outer lid. you just unscrew them and the ones on the hinge. You might not want to tackle this if you couldn't figure that part out.

Ha Ha very funny, oh your soooo funny.

Maybe I should have provided more detail.

The lid halves I've got under control, but the bucket that acts a s a liner for the console/seat...how does that come out, I worked a bit of it apart but it was in there way tight. It was taking a lot of force to separate...I thought discretion was needed, maybe a I missed a step or some fasteners.

thanks :santa:

k, To get to the 12v power sourse it will have to come up. to do so, you have to start at the console bezel that wraps around the radio, remove, then unscrew the plastic surrond that goes around the shifter. you don't have to remove this piece but it does have to come loose to remove the surround for the center console. thats it. now hop to it! lol, just be gentle and don't bust anything man. take some pics when you are thru!

BTW, I an assuming that you have a 2004 + F150 w/ the center console...
