Dealers not "dealing" as much as I would think.
Dealers price there units high because there is always a big group of people that will pay that price. Oh and most women. Only someone with a good head on their shoulders gets discounts. You have to know how to walk the walk and talk the talk

If you ARE NOT one of those i think you would be smart and buy the vehicle. I have no problem writing a $450 check to ford credit for my truck each month. I don't because i am happy and i do not look back thinking i left money on the table. So it comes down to, can you afford it? If not, you shouldnt be looking at one.
Also the dealer is there for you to buy them, not give them away.

Free to anyone buying a Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln product. This is called "X-Plan" pricing. Just ask your dealer for an x-plan price when you look at a new vehicle and get ahold of me and get a pin number for that price plan. I have and can get unlimited discounts so don't think you are too late to take advantage of this offer. Good luck to all and as always, buy AMERICAN!

That sticker price on a Lariat sure sounds low compared to what I remember when I bought my truck almost 2 years ago. Maybe they are really trying to lower the price. With the wheels, I think it would have been closer to $40,000, maybe $38,000+.

Don't let the invoice fool you. The dealers still get their holdback after the sale. And somebody above me was talking about catching the dealers on a weak day. Well I am not gonna lie, thats what happened with me. I was the only one there on a Sunday and they were informed that they were competing with another dealer down the street. They ended up coming off the sticker 7500 OTD. I was happy.

Just wow.
Guess I'm poor, or stupid.
But I have a heck of a lot more money than you do, Anthony. So that makes you what? Super poor?
Just FYI, if you make payments you can't afford the truck.
Chris
Why are we blaming Ford because the dealers agree to sell below invoice. If I am not mistaken it is up to the dealer to decide how much they want to sell the vehicle. The manufacturer gives a recommended prices (MSRP) but the dealer can price it how they want. Its no different than suggested retail on other merchandise. If Sony suggest there x model tv sell for $5000 and Best Buy chooses to sell it for $4500 that is there choice.
Also if I am not mistaken Ford makes the same profit on every vehicle of the same model no matter what the dealer sells it for. Ford gets theres and the dealer gets anything above what they paid for the vehicle. If I am wrong please correct me.
