Texas front plates

Like I said before, move to AZ where it is legal and then you don't have to worry about this issue...you can move on to more pressing issues like window tint. LOL

And when they decide to give you an earfull there isn't much you can do about it unless you choose to spend the night in jail.

Well it was a thought. Playing dumb with the cops. I know many cops myself and its hard to pull one over on them but like I said it was just a thought.
If I came to Texas with no front plate, as its not needed in my state will I get pulled over without a front plate or do they turn around and chase me down until they see I m from KY on my tag? Seems like a waste of time the front and back plates both say the same thing.

I think we have a winner!
It is motorized! Kinda best of both worlds.

The police around here do make alot of minor stops and find tons of drugs, esp. along I-40. I think last year the stops they made and found drugs in totalled over 6 million dollars in drugs.
What do you guys think, since im probably goin to just put it back on the front, if when i get the bracket i sand and paint it to match the truck, yall think that might help the chitty look of a plate on the front any?

They might pull you over, but what the guy said to me was he though i was from new mexico (no front plates there) until he saw my rear plate thats when he busted the U turn in the ditch. If you are from out of stat and they do pull you over im sure they would just ask you if you where passing through or had moved here then let you go, or just pass you over completely based on your rear plate.

If I have window tint on my truck that is legal in KY and drive through VA where it is not, I can be ticketed or made to remove it.
BTW Smokeybear, I assume your a cop, which part of KY do you patrol?

VSP are as close to ***** as you can get. When I was 18 I drove across the state line to go to the Breaks (a state park shared by KY and VA.) The VA state trooper reached in my truck, grabbed by radar detector off the dash and threw it on the ground and stomped on it...Then wrote me a ticked for the infraction. Never did he utter a word other than "Gimme your drivers license, registration, and insurance."

Here in Houston they have just installed more than a dozen redlight cams and have plans to hook up a couple dozen more. Honestly, I like this decision. I have no problem running a front plate. Besides, if automated traffic cams can reduce redlight accidents and release more patrol officers to attend to other, more important matters, then I'm all for it. I know the laws (every citizen should cuz ignorance is not a defense) and if I chose to break them, I am prepared to own up to my mistakes and pay restitution. I never forget that driving is a privilege, not a right.
