Does an 04 XLT have a low fuel light?

I have run my gas gauge down to where it just touches the E and have never had a "low Fuel" light come on. Just wondering if it has one?

Also what size is the standard gas tank on a 04 supercab? When it touches E I can only put 20 gallons in it. I thought the standard tank was 27 gallons with the optional tank holding 35 but Ive seen many of you talking about a 30 gallon tank too.

Thanks
Andy

I prefer not to allow my truck get that empty, or less than 1/4 for that matter but when you start the truck look for it. As far as I know all of the lights turn on for that second or two.
I would assume it does.

Tical I agree, I usually fill up at 1/4 but I ran it low just to check for the light. Also when I first start it up no low fuel light comes on which is another reason I questioned if it had one.

Thanks

Yes it does have one but it won't come on until its pretty far down on the E. And it actually shows up and the message center and sounds a tone.

Ah right, the message center. That's why there's no "light". Like I said, never seen it either, never plan to.

With my 06 i've gone down to the light and driven 20 miles with it on. You've got a bit of rope to play with when it comes down

I tell you what, though... when you're in the middle of Illinois and at 2 am and that light comes on... and you drive 20 minutes trying find a station, that gets a bit un-nerving.

Only twenty miles, I drove like 50+ miles with the light on so you shouldn't have any thing to worry about. When I did fill up though I put like 26.5 gallons in my 27 gallon tank.
