Does an 04 XLT have a low fuel light?
Does an 04 XLT have a low fuel light?
I have run my gas gauge down to where it just touches the E and have never had a "low Fuel" light come on. Just wondering if it has one?
Also what size is the standard gas tank on a 04 supercab? When it touches E I can only put 20 gallons in it. I thought the standard tank was 27 gallons with the optional tank holding 35 but Ive seen many of you talking about a 30 gallon tank too.
Thanks
Andy

I prefer not to allow my truck get that empty, or less than 1/4 for that matter but when you start the truck look for it. As far as I know all of the lights turn on for that second or two.
I would assume it does.

Tical I agree, I usually fill up at 1/4 but I ran it low just to check for the light. Also when I first start it up no low fuel light comes on which is another reason I questioned if it had one.
Thanks

With my 06 i've gone down to the light and driven 20 miles with it on. You've got a bit of rope to play with when it comes down
I tell you what, though... when you're in the middle of Illinois and at 2 am and that light comes on... and you drive 20 minutes trying find a station, that gets a bit un-nerving.
