Im trying to decide what tires I want to put on some Helo Maxx 6 and I like both tires. I am trying to see what you are all getting out of a set, of course with proper air pressure, rotations, etc. Thanks for the feedback

Well the toyo is a quiet long lasting tire, the nitto is a more aggressive nosiy tire.

What do you want?

The toyos prob last 45000-50000, the nittos are more 30000-40000

SO you are saying I can get more miles from the Toyo Muds then the Nitto ATs? I figured it would be the other way around, hmm.

I like both tires granted the Toyo Open Countrys are tuff looking but over $100 more ea a tire I would like to get some miles from the Toyos

when he said that....i think he was thinking the mud grappler nittos....

but youd get more mileage on the A/t nittos.

I agree. I think he believed you were comparing Toyo MT's and Nitto Mud Grapplers.

Yes I am comparing the differance between the Open Country MT and Terra Grapplers. I think if I could get 30+K from the MT I will go with them. Is that a realistic estimation?

I can't say anything about Toyo's ... just saw the price when I was looking and kept going. I now have exactly 40K on my Nitto Terra Grapplers ... all street/highway miles. I'd have to measure how much tread I have left, but I'm not ready for new tires just yet.

I've been running the Nitto Terra Grapplers on my truck for nearly 6 months.

These tires are high speed/low drag (very quiet) and are wearing extremely well.

This truck is my daily driver and I put about 18K miles per year on it. I suspect that these tires will last me at least 3 years at the rate that they are currently wearing.

That's one sexy looking truck Ox.
I hear rumors of not having to run a front plate here in Tx.....that'll make that truck even better.

Been running my Toyo OC's for about 13k miles.....excellent tires and I got a smoking deal on them.

Thanks Budha. Not sure if Tx is considering ditching the front plate. Houston recently installed a dozen or so red light cameras. They take pics of the violator in the intersection after the light changes. Pics includes front of vehicle with drivers face and front plate for positive identification. I would'nt mind losing the plate though...

Mine sits under my back seat with a story to go along with it......(crosses fingers, knocks on wood and prays that I never have to use it.)
I've got some fender flares on the way and a bumper cover for my truck and I hope I don't have to drill holes for the plate.

My Toyo Open Country AT's only gave me 20K miles Switched to Pirelli Scorpion ATR's and saved me over $1000 VS getting the Toyo's again.
