I really like mine, just don't have the bass turned up real loud on the Audiophile stereo or it will set the alarm off and shut the truck down :o

I could only get mine to work in tach mode, the F150 idles SO low and is so quiet that it wouldn't work in tachless mode.

I think I will like my after-market one if I can ever get it to work....still hoping someone can help me get the 1100F Interface Module to work....

I went and set up an appointment for my mother-in law and my wife;s trucks... $300 each installed.....I have spent 10+ hours (so far) on installing mine, ain't worth the headaches to do this yourself...

OK this is first post, I have a UltraStart 1270 remote start/keyless entry and a 98 F-150. I'm no electrician, I'm used to using wire connections, so not sure how you all are splicing into the existing wires. Any help would be appreciated.

Hit Travis up at kcautosound.com Alot of us guys here have used his pre-wired Code Alarm systems. He's the lead installer for the Ford Accessories in Kansas City and then also does his own thing.

Automate lcd 2-way here and love it. Plus it tells you the temp in the cab from the remote FTW.

Worst thing about factory or cheap aftermarket remote start is short operating distance.
Why mess with the 1100F? Key in the box works great!
<---Sells DEI and Autopage alarms. I own a Clifford Avant Guard 4 that is loaded and a Clifford Matrix 50.5. I actually prefer the Avant Guard 4 for security and it's overall operation but the range and 2 way capability of the 50.5 is cool.

For starters use the search function, there's a ton of great info on here, and if you still have questions start another thread rather than jumping into this one, and do it in the right forum since the wiring changed from 98' to 04+ models.

I disagree, the Ford/Code-Alarm units have great range, 1000 ft or more. I rather not have the extra key up in my dash either, the PATS bypass antenna ring kit works just fine, I've had no problems with the Ford remote start units on my past two trucks.

For the factory system wiring instructions, this website helps out a ton: www.gemsen.com/ford

I love my Viper. Distance is outstanding...With nothing blocking, I can usually start it from over 100 yards. I also like using it when running in to the gas station or for food pickup. You can hit a button and take the key out to leave it running.
