Hi

I am thinking about putting these on my 06 SC 4x4

I am a fan of Bilsteins, and have them on all 4 of my vehicles. Having said that, I'm somewhat disappointed on the adjustables on my '06. I'm running them @ stock heigth, and they don't isolate the truck from rough roads and potholes like the Bilsteins on my '97 did...I don't know if this is because of the truck, or the shock. I still bottom out on occassion when I hit a pothole on our atrocious southern California roads, which never happened on my '97. MAybe the potholes are deeper? Could it have something to do with the optional P.O.S. General tires that i actually paid extra for ?

I love mine... I have the shocks set on only the 1" raise. I would say that if you want that plush, soft feel, then these shocks aren't for you. But if you want to be able to cruise at 45 mph on a dirt road without spilling a drop of your coffee, then you've found the right shock.

It's a very sporty feel, really. While others do mods on their truck to get an extra few horses here and there, I'm all about 60 to 0 times and how my truck handles than I am about 0 to 60 times and how much rubber I can lay down. My truck handles great. The bilsteins and new tires really made a difference.

As an aside, I had the Generals on my truck at one point. Garbage... Get better tires. The Generals, in my opinion, are dangerous and shouldn't be on a truck of this size.

Do you have any pictures of your truck with the 1" lift via Bilsteins? I have a set and am debating on the 1" or 2". What is the actual measured height of the front end. Most people measure from the ground to the top of the wheel opening.

The founder of Koni in 1857, was from the Netherlands, so they must be good!
