I can never tell if those hemi's are racing me or not. I've lined up with a couple and gotten the nod, and heard him screech out for a second, but it's hard to tell how fast they are going by looking through the rear view mirror. I sometimes let them get a couple of truck lengths on me and then take off, but I don't know if they are getting on it or not as I fly by. Those hemi's are sloooow.

It sucks that we have to spend a grand in mods on our trucks to be even with the competition. If you are good at ****ering when you bought the truck, maybe you can get it for a grand less, which would make the mods free. Just another way to look at it.

Hey no fair, you're blown. A blown hemi would be pretty sick, of course just to be fair. So racing a stock hemi with a blown/modified F150 is apples to oranges in my book.

I'd love to, but my truck won't be making its way back down to the states, just me. I'm done with living in Vegas. Do you have the regular cab or crew cab SRT-10? That'll be sick with a supercharger on it!

silverbullet, it might be apples to oranges, but I still love the look on their faces when they pull back up to me.

A friend of mine had his 05 F150 beaten by someone around his neighborhood with a brick. $4100 damage and he has a 07 Dodge Ram for a rental.
So he stopped by and we went for a little drag.
The ram is a 5.7 HEMI Scab 4x4
My truck is a 5.4 Lariat Scab 4x4 with some mods. Roush exhaust, Volant intake, and a Troyer tuner set on 91 performance.
Not sure what kind of HP numbers I have, but stock is 300 and the ram has 345 stock.
First race (now this was in front of my house that has about 600 ft of frontage and my neighboor has the same. So no one was around!)
I got the jump and stayed 3/4 to a full truck length infront of him the whole time.
The second race I started in 2nd(don't ask how :o ) and by the time I shifted it back into drive he had a 3/4 truck length on me, but I stayed right with him.

Now the question. Should I be proud of my truck on the way it ran?

I mean I don't have that many miles on the 91 performance tune. Probably only about 70 miles. So maybe adaptive needs a little more time.
I think he has the truck for 8 days so maybe will have to give it another go.
I see your from Windsor... I'm from the Detroit area.. Id be willing to run you... With all your mods and mine completly stock.. I ran a 14.4 stock top to bottom @ Milan dragway.. Including stock Mopar air filter and air box.. And I will let you inspect my truck from top to bottom.. For any hidden Mods.. I do have N20 but I will leave the bottle at home.. And disconnect it right in front of you if you would like.. I have a 03 Qc shortbox 2x4.. Just say when...

The stock reg cab 2wd hemi I test drove twice, was definitely not a low 14 second truck. Were you on the juice when you ran?
