I don't know what the part numbers are but I did this to my truck. All you have to do is cut the valance for the hooks to go through, the holes are already in the frame. If you buy a set make sure you get the nuts also. The two nuts are attaches to each other that way you don't have to use a backer wrench, it would never fit in the opening of the frame. It took me a couple of hours to do but I was being careful not to mess up the valance while cutting it.

It can be done...

Cutting the valance looks trashy IMHO. I paid 48.00 for the hooks off of ebay, and a total of 111.00 and some change at the stealership for the 4wd valance, bolts, and nut assemblies used to secure the tow hooks. looks nice now. check my gallery for pics of my tow hooks.

Retail Prices are as follows...

Tow Hooks
6L3Z-17A954-AA
$21.83/ea x2

Bolt
N605937-S426
$11.16/ea x4

Nut (Figure 8 looking nut)
W706973-S441
$15.40/ea x2

4x4 Valance
6L3Z-17626-BAA
$48.27 x1

You can save some money and get your own hardware, and if you feel up to it i would remove the front bumper and buy my own grade 8 hardware (when you remove the bumper you have full access to the front frame rails) and the front bumper is only really 4 bolts and quick disconnect of the fogs.

I cut mine and you or no one else could tell it wasnt a factory 4wd valance. If it didnt look 100% factory I asure you I would have a factory 4wd valance, but it only took 30 min or so to cut and smooth the holes and it looks flawless. I used a 4wd valance I had bought (but took back) as a guide....cut the holes with a dremal then smoothed the edges with a sanding bit. Total cost of adding my hooks was $35.

Same here a little time and patience is all it takes. The only way someone will know it's not a 4x valance is if they specifically look for it.

Fordparts.com. I told them what I wanted to do and they set me up with everything I needed.

And Ram could you take a closeup picture of where you cut your valance so I can see where to cut mine?
