How often do YOU change your oil

I was just curious to see how often you guys change your oil. At what interval? I'm coming up on 5,000 miles on my 5.4 and I'm thinking about waiting until 6 or 7,000 before changing. The oil still looks clear.

If everyone would post there change interval that will give me an idea of when to change mine. This is an '06 5.4L.

Thanks guys.

On my 06 4.6l I change my oil every 4,000 miles with Penzoil 5w-20 and a Motorcraft FL-820s. I don't do stop and go driving, towing, off-roading or any other harsh drving conditions. It's worked for me. I did the same thing with my 2000 and it had 98,000 miles when I traded it and it ran like a top.

I probably could do 5,000 miles like to book says but I figured I would split the difference.

Mainly about every 5000 - 5500 miles. Dont do a lot of stop and go driving either, mainly hwy to and back home from work, other than that just around town. I keep a close check on the oil after 3000 to check the level and thickness and color though

I don't mess around when it comes to maintenance. I change my oil every 1,000 miles religiously, I also rotate my tires every 500 miles.

People often stop when I'm on the side of the road to help me with a flat but, I tell them "No, I'm just rotating my tires".

Make sure you put the anti-sieze on the studs each time...don't want those lugs welding themselves on..

Betweem 3000 and 5000 miles: it depends on the driving. If I am towing alot, then I have done it at 2500. Just highway driving and it has gone 5000.

I ran my truck with 5w20 to almost 5 months because I didnt even reach mileage yet and when I did my oil change the oil was really black... So I used sythetic mobil 1 5000 miles and I plan on changing every 4 months because I never reach my mileage...
