Weird Question

Ive got a question thats been bugging me it might be stupid to some but I gotta ask it. Ok my neighbor has a 04 Ford F-150 fx4 with 17" wheels. He recently bought some 35x12.50x17 BFG MT's along with a 2" leveling kit only. It actually looks good and sits up high. Now the weird part my cousin has a 05 Titan crew with a 2" Prg Level Kit and 35x12.5x17 BFG Mts on stockers and we put the trucks up side by side and the Ford is way bigger the tires even look bigger than the ones on the Titan although they are the same size and both are factory wheels. My question is how can this be? Now I know this is a ford website and I currently own a Titan but I am looking into a Ford F150 anyways but this question is bugging me.Also on paper the Titan is 1.5 inches higher so I dont get it.

Thought it was common knowledge that orientals are almost always shorter!

Easy now, both sides....

Rim width makes a difference. For the same rim diameter, a rim that is wider will lower the overall height of the tire and fatten it out.

The spacers give a little more lift than advertised on the Fords. Maybe the Nissan's spacer's get less than advertised. The only way to know is by comparison of before and after measurments. As far as the tires looking different, it's probably in your head, but you can always measure them for comparison.

Easy now... lol. It was just a silly little joke. We're not always *****-on focused and serious here. You're getting some feedback here... go with it bud.

Welcome to f150online.com by the way... Good luck with your decision that is forthcoming. Let us know if you need anything!
