Speedo off with Edge??

As some of you know I just got my gears changed to 4:10 from my stockers. My speedo is wayy off at freeway speeds! Anyone else get this problem? What do I do to change it?

P.S. little side note...I was driving by a local Ford dealership and I saw an F150 screw, 6.5 bed in dark silver lifted with the Rize 8 inch kit and rolling on some 20's. WOW, I wanted it sooo bad! I didnt stop to see the price because I know for a fact that I would have traded my truck in for it .

You can change both gear ratio & tire size in the Edge. Read your manual and it'll explain in detail -- or do a seach on here as it's been explained several hundred times.

OK. I know how to program for bigger tires and gears! I have 35's so I programed in for 35's. I have 4:10's so I put in I have 4:10's. Still the speedo is off. I remember someone else having the same problem and I would like to know how to fix it.

When I bought mine I adjusted to what the Edge manual stated would be correct for my tire size. In my case it wasn't close enough. Have you tried adjusting tire size until you've reached the max that the Edge will allow? Using someone elses number is good for a starting point, but almost certainly isn't going to be right for you.

The suggestion in the book for 285/60/18's may be correct if I'm trying to match my GPS to Edge's digital display, but I'm matching GPS to my speedo.

I took my GPS out and just played with the numbers until the trucks speedo was reading the same as the GPS was. Kind of a PITA, but the speedo is right on now!

I still have the same problem. My speedo says one thing, my edge says another ( usaually under the speedo by 3mph), and my gps says something completely different (usually off 7-9mph from my edge). Called edge and they couldnt tell me why.

My Edge is 2 mph faster than the GPS and the truck speedo is 4 mph faster than the GPS.

EDGE products has said that in all their testing on the 04+ F150 it was common for the the truck speedometer to be as much as 3-4 MPH off (usually faster than actual) from the actual speed. My speedo indicates 3 MPH faster than actual. To determine your actual tire size do the roll and measure procedure in the EDGE instructions, anything else is just guessing.
