I was thinking about putting one of these on, reduce stress on the rear end...

guess not
Guess nobody has one of these, or any thoughts...
I know TA Perfomance works with Ford Racing based on what I read on their web page. I will get one and put it on, post some pics when it is on....

this may be a stupid question but, hey, thats what the forum is for eh?--to learn new stuff.... what good does a new defferential cover do? other than being more heavy duty/ for looks- its there a mechanical advantage to putting one on?

As quoted from their web site...Mag-Hytec's heavy duty differential covers and transmission pans provide increased lubricant and cooling capacity for hard working recreational and service vehicles. Mag-Hytec covers and pans set your vehicle apart in both aesthetics and function - cast in A356-T6 aluminum and texture powder coated black with machined cooling fins. Magnetic drain plugs trap worn gear material promoting fluid integrity. Each unit is fitted with ARP 568 O-rings for superior sealing. All hardware is 303 stainless steel, in most applications no gasket or sealant is required, and all Mag-Hytec parts are covered by a lifetime limited warranty. Depend on Mag-Hytec when you're pulling a heavy load

Where did you order your Mag Hy-tech from?
Thanks

JSpecifically designed to add support to the bearing caps under severe loads and acceleration, these girdles substantially strengthen the rear end. They also add fluid capacity, which helps to lower the fluid temperature. TA Performance is proud to be the OEM supplier for Ford Racing Performance Parts, formerly SVT. The TA girdle is the ONLY girdle that has been thoroughly tested and approved by an automotive manufacturer.
Rear end girdles are good for drag racing.I know some people that have them on 500+ hp drag cars. They look cool but probably not necessary on a near stock F150.
If it's turboed or blown or somehow making lots of power it could help.
Another thing the girdle may help with, it would probably cut down on axle stress on lifted trucks w/wheels and tires that stick out beyond the fenders quite a bit.
