Question STX Cloth Seats???????

I have noticed that even if water gets on the cloth interior on the STX model that it can leave a spot. I have taken a wet cloth to it and kind of rubbed it and seems to get rid of the spot, but does anyone else know why this cloth holds water spots that way and also does anyone know a good way to keep them clean?

Thanks.
B.

yeah, theres no way to keep them clean on these new trucks. When I had my 04 F-150 with the cloth, even 5 cans of Scotch Guard "PER" SEAT did not help one bit. It was costly to use that much on it per seat, but I thought it would work, but these cloth seats suck!

sorry man, but there is no way to keep them clean, most everyone who has cloth in the new trucks complain about it

Was this just an 04 problem? I got some water on the passenger seat of my 06 the other day, and all I could do was stare in horror. Based on the posts here, I thought I was screwed. But the spot ended up drying and going away on its own.

I've got an '06 also, and on the May trip to Pismo, it was raining outside. I left the door open while loading everything up, and it got rain everywhere, on the seats. I too thought I was ****ed, but the stains never happened. The water just dried and they look good as new. I think it is an '04 (and some '05) issue only.

I think you and I have very similiar trucks.

Wow, I really need to power wash my driveway. And take some better pics of my truck. And build my fence. And put in a patio. I hope it's nice this weekend.

There's also a live thread in the General Care & Detailing forum right now on this very issue. You're not alone!
