Seat stains

Anyone ever find a method to clean stains off these horrible gray seats? I guess water apparently stains now, new to me? Ive tried several things with absolutely no success. Looking for final suggestions before I install these black leather covers.

On a side note, my congrats to Ford, they actually designed a fabric that can be stained by pure water....amazing.

Get yourself a can of "Tuff Stuff" cleaner and a small soft scrub brush. You can buy it at Walmart, KMart, Autio Zone, and etc. Its in a red and yellow can with a yellow top, sells for about $3 to $4 depending where you buy it.
Spray a little on the spots and work it in with the brush, wipe with a clean white towel, and if you have an air compressor, blow it dry.Works like a champ. I use about 12 cans of this stuff in a two week period detailing vehicles. You can also clean the spots off the wifes carpet in the house that you brought in from the garage with you too...

What does it matter? You're putting covers on anyway.

Like I said before, I will install the leathers as a last resort. I would actually prefer fabric, but if I cannot remove the stains I will install the leathers as a last resort. Thanks for your concern though...Back on topic though.

I have tried Tuff Stuff, but it left a water spot where I applied it. Ive tried Dry Clean, Tuff Stuff, and a hand full of other upholstery cleaners but they all leave a ring around the applied area? I was wondering if anyone else had tried a steam cleaner, or any other suggestions.

It was this line in your post that gave me that impression. I apologize for not cracking the code.

try Oxy Clean, tried all others includinf tuff stuff, which left rings on my seats. Oxy is some good stuff , get it at wally world, spray bottle kind. instead of wiping it a cloth, just spray the oxy let it sit for about 3- 4 min, and use a high power vacum to suck it up. it works!!

Do yourself a favor and just change them to leather, I did..Those flint gray covers are a never ending battle.

I had the tan seats and found that I have to steam clean the entire area so it would not appear to be stained. After scoring a set of leathers for under $300 I have no more issues with the stains.
