The truck is far more 'rotor challenged' than 'caliper limited'.

Changing the caliper to something else that fits the stock rotor won't do much of anything. Other than look cool perhaps. Finding one with nearly as much piston area would also prover terribly difficult. Adding rotor allows for a small reduction in area given the rotors diameter and mass are increased.

Stock calipers a very large on the F150. 2 x 2" or about 6+ sq" of piston. The real issue is lack of a pad with good bite, excessive fluid displacement and then lack of mass to manage the heat properly. You'd do far better with a larger rotor and stock caliper than the other way.

Incubus, do you have a link to those 2 piece rotors ? What's the biggest rotor size for a 2005 f-150 4x4 ? Thanks.

unless you're racing autocross, or on the strip, theres absolutely no point to go bigger than a rotor upgrade. our calipers are fine, its just a matter of bigger rotors, and a set of ceramic pads. I mean, i don't know about you, but the way i see it, when the ABS catches, it catches, doesn't matter if you have so much pressure, or 10 times that much pressure on the pads. not to mention your tires are really determining your stopping ability.

Dude, my truck when done(3-4 weeks), will be making around 700RWHP.
That's why i need stronger brakes so bad.

i can understand that, but normal everyday driving, isn't necessary. then again, i can see a race car with that set up more than any of us.

With 700RWHP mine can be considered a street/race truck.
Talked to a lot of builders and they all have the same opinion:
"For that kind of power, new brakes PERIOD ! AP Racing, Baer or Brembo, the rest is just the rest."

I agree it's a good brand too and they have the biggest rotor, 16" but unfortunately there are no models for F-150 4X4, if my truck was 4X2 i would buy one of those.

just looked at your pic of your truack and do you think you will have enough room for them with the way your sopkes curve inwards? i know on my buddys fx4 he had bear rotors and stock calipers on 20's with a bout a piece of paper thick clearance

Good question man, but i think it will clear. BTW AZMIDJET91, i am looking for smaller mirrors for my truck and so far the only one i found was Street Scene (which i think could be a little bit bigger). Do you know any other brands ?
