I don't believe there is a big brake kit for the fronts of 2WD F150's. The front rotors are one big assembly with the hub. You can't just replace the rotor and caliper.

And replacing the rears isn't going to help you any. You need your braking power where the weight of the truck is...

I wasn't trying to insult you man, I'm by no means an expert... just trying to share what I've found. (or havent')

I just looked up the willwoods... looks like the kit includes a whole new hub assembly... I stand corrected. Fact is though, that you do have to replace the hub since from the factory, the hub and the rotor are a single piece on the 2WD. There's a nice write-up on it here: http://www.sporttruck.com/projectbui...all/index.html

When do you think you'll get on that custom turbo? Once you get it drawn out and start assembling please post the plans and stuff, I want a turbo bad......twin might not be that bad either.

brake upgrades

Look at the Power Slot upgrade. It uses your stock calipers(paint them)and gives you a bracket and larger rotors. Get a good set of premium pads. I've not used this kit, I don't have big enough wheels, but I have used Power Slot rotors on my past cars and trucks and have had no complaints.

I cant believe nobody makes an improved caliper that just bolts on the stock rotor. That and some ss braided hoses would do a lot and shouldn't be too expensive. Do these trucks use a twin piston caliper or single?

Twin Piston.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a larger caliper (larger pad) on a stock rotor create too much heat and be more likely to warp / crack the rotor?

according to brembo's catalog they only offer kits for the 4WD f150's.
Part number for 04-06 4WD front kit is 1J1.9004A
See here: http://www.brembo.com/US/Performance/GranTurismoBrakes/

Does anyone have a link to the baer kit for the 2WD? I'd be interested in it...
