no man it works. pull up with both hands at the front. comes right up. found where to put one of my amps to. out my 4 channel and a cooling fan from radio shack so it won't over heat.

and for you guys with nav/dvd players also a great placeto place the brain, theres a flap cut so you can run your wires through. i didn't pull it all the way up but part the way and theres a component under it. i think its the body control module if i had to guess.

Back to the question @ hand. NO the rear seat doesnt just fold forward. In fact its a PITA to remove the first time. You can mount a couple of amps back there but thats about it. Do a search on Rear seat Removal and you'll see. Took me 4 seperate tries on 4 seperate days B4 i figured it out

I is a lil slow though.

Sorry, I thought this was common knowledge and the only reason I mentioned it was so someone didn't mistake what I was actually talking about. I've knew about this secret compartment almost over a year. You can thank another F150 enthusist from another web site for the info.

This only applies to folks who have no console and the 40/20/40 front seat setup.

Talking Secret Stash in console

I had a 2001 Lariat with the console that is rounded in the front, with the two drink holders. If you grab the two drink holders, with your thumb & index finger and jerk up firmly, the complete black plastic piece comes out. I used to stash handcuffs, and my semi auto pistol in there. I can't even remember how I found it. Pretty secure! I wish my 2006 had a stash in the console with easy access to a hand gun.

Umm - No offence fellas, but you guys are a little slow. I yanked the 20% section off a couple days after I brought my truck home. Just wanted to see what was under there.

But then again, I also swapped the head unit and had amps installed approx. 4 hours after signing the papers.
