4x4 spindles...
Thats a great question. I would expect that the wheel bearings/hubs are completely different for the CV axles. From pics I've seen its a seperate bearing assembly that bolts to the knuckle itself, much like a FWD car. I would wager that it doesnt jive with a 4x2 knuckle. I'm sure there are those that know for sure, and maybe someone has pics? Why do you ask, are the 4x4 knuckles greater in length than the 4x2? I know the shock assembly is longer by about 5/8 of an inch.
Yea the 4x4 knuckles are longer than the 2x4 ones. I put the 4x4 coilovers on my truck so I got a higher lift out of it and now my upper balljoint is pretty much maxed out. I was thinking if i put these on my truck it would even everything out, and maybe let me go higher for some 37's.
I know. My brother has a 2wd titan with a 4wd kit on it. So therefor he has the 4wd knuckles on it. So I was thinking it would work on my truck. I do believe the hub assembly on the ford trucks have the same mounting hole position on the knuckle for the 4wd and 2wd. I am gonna take my wheel off tomarrow and look to see how they are on my truck. I seen the trucks episode where they have the 4wd knuckle for the F150, so ill compare.

Be interesting if the 4x4 spindles DID work on a 4x2 as that would mean most of the 4x4 lift kits should be adaptable. But at the same time I would say they arent since there are both kinds of kits available. So a 4x4 has a slightly longer coilover and longer knuckles, is that the only difference? I thought I once read on here that the subframe sat a tad lower as well.
