Removing HU guide?

Awhile back ago, I saw a member post a guide on how to remove and install a new HU. It was complete with pictures and directions. Now, I just bought a new HU and have been searching for the past hour for this guide. Can anybody help me out?

dont know the thread off the top of my head, but its pretty much just grab a corner at the topr, pull firmly but gently, when that one pops, get the other side, disconnect airbag light (thats the part i always forget), then work your way down the sides, takes about 30 seconds if that

If you have an XL or an XLT, you can open the ash tray / cupholder to start pulling at the bottom and work your way up.
Works real well.

You don't need pictures or instructions.....really.

Pull the surround off, unbolt the HU, pull the wires.....reverse the procedure to install.

Simple.

If you are in SoCal (San Diego area), I'll do it for ya (no charge).

Ok I got the bottom four out, but I am having problems getting the top two disconnected. I feel like if I pull any harder it will break. Any tips for the top ones?

Just keep pulling out, straight out. Just a tip, don't pull it off and on more than you need to, the clips will get loose and they'll squeak! Trust me, I know!

If you are talking about the surround on the dash...just pull really close to the clips and straight out. It'll come off.

Get as close as you can to avoid stress on the surround. Pull straight out. It will come out. I've pulled mine so many times I lost count.
