I ran into a situation on my '00 Dakota, as some are aware... some people really helped me out on here to get instructions on how to replace U-Joints. I got a set of new U-Joints, and I took the drive shaft apart, and I wound up busting 2 of the Jesus pins, and I had to bring it by my buddies shop to have him cut them off. When he got them off, I slipped the new ones in, and I was set to go. Cost me a total of like $30... and about 3 hours of my time.

But I got it back on the truck, and it is great.

I got a set of Spicer Zerked U-Joints. I don't believe in the sealed U-Joints, because after about 2 years, they really go downhill quick. This way with Zerked U-Joints, you lube-em and they will last way longer than 8 years... plus they tend to seem more heavy duty.

Being my F150 is standard shift, those U-Joints get a workout from each shift. So it's much harder on them than the automatics.
