No Squeak!

Aren't brake pads supposed to squeak before they start grinding? All my past vehicles did. Has this happen to anyone else?

Some pads have a flexible metal indicator tab that will contact the rotor when the pads get worn down to a certain point (and make the squeaking sound) , some don't.

You should inspect the pads at every tire rotation so it really should not be a surprise when they are getting worn.
