I am debating if I ever get any wheels whether or not to go with black. One of my good friends has a blacked out Altima and he is trying to convince me to black out my truck. I really like the look of 2000F150HD's truck and hope he doesn't mind that I did a photoshop pretty much the same as his truck. I also don't know about all of it with my chrome nerf bars. I don't really want to buy new ones so let me know what you guys think. Here is my truck blacked out like 2000F150HD's truck and then with black Moto Metal 951's. In my gallery you can find photoshops of black Helo Maxx 6's and then some wheels in chrome. Let's hear your opinions please!

I think the black wheels make a truck look cheap.

 

If you had an all black truck I would say maybe. But I don't think they'll look good on yours.

 

For me personally I don't like the look of black rims, as someone already stated, they just look cheap. That's my opinion though and ultimately it's your truck, you're the one that has to like it.

 

...and to us it sounds like you don't like it.

If your friend is trying to convince you, you don't want them. I think it would actually look stupid since you have the chrome running boards.

I like what you did with the centercaps... Now only if i could get mine painted!

When I got my wheels powdercoated they had sample of all the diffrent colors. and there was one that was almost exactly the same color as your truck. If you can find a local place that does powdercoating, i think this would look awesome and be really unique. It cost me $60 a wheel for the powdercoating. And you can just find some older wheels or takeoffs... or whatever you like.

I also think the black looks good and would look good on your truck... but i am a bit biased.

I do like the black wheels but I like chrome as well. I'm kinda on the fence and my friend is trying to pull me over to "the dark side".

2000F150HD's truck is awesome! I really love the way it looks on his. I'm just wondering if it would look good on mine with the chrome nerf bars. I really like the black Helo Maxx 6's but I wouldn't mind just doing something similar to 2000F150HD b/c I don't want the wheels to stick out a lot. There are several guys on FTW that have DSG trucks and black wheels and they look great but there are also some with chrome and they look great as well so I don't know. That is why I'm asking opinions. Thanks guys!

 

Do it man, there is this one FX4 that KickASSFX4 posted a while back, it is the same color as yours with black moto metal 951's, and it looks sick...

there is a gray one on here with black wheels and chrome beadlock rings that looks good, im actually going with the same wheel setup and lift on my black 06 f150 screw lariat....cant wait...

I say go with it. I honestly think the black looks totally sick. I happen to have bought chrome, but I have an XLT with chrome bumpers and stuff.

they are alright but I think the look of chrome stands out more and looks more appealing to people and myself. When I see a truck with chrome wheels or any car with chrome wheels it looks good and kinda that "expensive" and "quality" look to it. But when I see black wheels its like "uhhhh....ok??" but with some styles it looks good. Too much black or "paint" is bad but too much chrome is also bad. but with your style it looks like you like things painted so chrome would look a little awkward.
