I like black wheels. I wanted to get a set for my truck.
Also if you decide to go with black wheels make sure you get the shiny finish and not the one that looks like someone sprayed them with a can of flat black spray paint. If they're going to be black, at least have them shine.

I dont think it makes it look cheap if you buy the right ones. A lot of the cheap looking black wheels Ive seen are real simple, but have purpose. Dessert Baja type rims most people run are black, simple and look like spares. I agree, it does look cheap sometimes...but it also makes it look meaner (to me I guess). I have a DSG and purchased a black set. One thing is...I did notice that Gloss Black Wheels sometimes dont look right. I went with a Satin Black (basically a Flat Black Wheel). Once they get mounted, Ill post it up.

You can search ALLKAOS for his truck. Those are the wheel I got and to be honest, his truck doesnt look cheap at all...actually looks pretty mean.

Again, nothing new...everyone has their own opinions. I like both, but Black is definately my preference.

I have a little paint and a little chrome. It looks like he has all paint so painted wheels would match.

 

yes, black wheels do look good on DSG! Have a look at mine.

 

Im not a fan of black wheels either. Just another opinion.
