Question Whos Running 37's On Thier 2004-2006 F150 4X4???

If Your Are Running 37" Tires On Your 4x4 Truck Can You Answer These Questions?

1. What lift or lifts are you running? how did you get the extra lift/increase in the rear of the truck to keep it leveled? add a leaf or bigger blocks?
2. What size tires are you running? 37x12.50R17 or what size???
3. Do your tires rub at all or did you have to do some mod's to make it work? if so what mod's did you do?
4. Did you make any changes to your front cv joints or front shafts? if so what mods did have you done? do you have any problems because the angles are too much? any problems when you engage you 4x4 system off road?

i have a 2004 FX4 with a 6 inch procomp coilover lift and all the shops here in san diego are telling me im going to have problems with rubbing or the angles of the front cv joints due to the extra 2inch lift to run 37's, can you guys who have already have these extra modifications let me know what is going on with your trucks, does running 37's work or do you have problems?

Thanks

I think he is of the mindset that a body lift is just skimping on lifting, or being a "poser" or whatever you want to call it.

I can buy some gap guards and the average joe won't know any different.

I have 37/13.5-17" Toyo MT's on special order (currently 35's). I increased 2" with a rear add-a-leaf and cranking the fronts on my Procomp 6" kit. CST says you can fit 37/12/5-17's with their 8" kit but I prefer wider if I go taller otherwise I will be to nervous thinking about rollover. http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/CST04F150.html

There is someone on the other forum with about 10" of lift wince he also added a leveling kit to our same Procomp lift but he is running 37/15.5-20's. He said he had a slight rub when lock to lock turnes and just trimmed/shaved the bottom corner of the fender lip.

My other choice was 35/14/5-17's

Oh for the other qestions:
You can switch out the block for CST's block but I prefer adding a leaf spring.
Fo power I am running true dual pipes (all the way) to a single Magnaflow that has dual in/dual out and then turn downs just before the rear wheels. A diablo tuner and as much to my amazement because I didn't think there would be a difference over my K&N drop in I installed a True flow intake and the combo together gices me all the power I need. It's actually pretty fast! I may have to add a supercharger with the new tires "lol".

The hight looks good but you can see the frame. You can get some N-Fab bars to hide that since they tuck in just below the doors. Some fender flares would look good to. Those Nitto's look pretty mean, how loud are those on the highway?

you can see the frame on my truck, and im not using a body lift

Fender Flares? Im not sure they sell those on the west coast.

Nitto Mud Grapplers are a loud tire, but you really get used to them. Im going to switch to the Nitto Terra Grappler, or the Dune Grappler after these are gone.

My installer said those beadlock rings look cool. I'll be picking a set up this weekend to throw on my truck.

Chit, I'm going to rub purdy bad from the looks of it. I just lifted with a 6" Fabtech with DL Coilovers. I am putting the 37's on come Monday, look for pics in the 2004-2006 F-150 sub-forum here on F150online, I've posted pictures.
