Volant Filter Box question

I have a stock 2005 f150 fx4 supercab ... and today I installed my first mod... a Volant Filter Box ... and on the test drive I heard a deeper throatier sound ... is that normal ? I just thought it would give it more hp and better airflow and thats it ...

Just put my Volant on 2 weeks ago and loving it. Also got the Edge and loving that even more. Finally can feel those damn headrests when I tromp on it!

What did that truck cover set you back? Really nice.

Throaty Sound , normal

If your old enough to remember, it sounds like the Muscle Cars of the 60's
when you opened up a Holley or a QuadraJet, or even a Carter 4 Barrel carb.

Mine did the same thing. You won't even notice it after a week or so.
