cat-back or a full system

Went around to a couple muffler shops today, and am fiddling around with the idea of putting headers and a full system on my truck. The question is... is it worth it. I can put a cat back system in for about $350, where a full system is around $600 plus the price of the headers. I heard not to mess around with the O2 sensors, but one installer said as long as they are in the right place, it won't matter. Is there a whole bunch of difference between the two? I also still can not find a decent Cat-back system for my truck!! 2005 extended cab long bed built in 04/05. Your advice is welcomed and cherished. Thank you.
p.s. I am not looking just for a louder truck. This is my daily driver and I tow a 7000 lb camper with it. I want power over sound

I'd go full system if money is not an option, you'll be much happier.

It's really an issue of performance/cost for me as to whether or not I modify my truck with a particular part.

If money was no object I would already have headers. And exhaust. And a supercharger. and fans. and wheels. and tires. and racing stripes. and a suspension package. and and and and....oh man. Now you've got me all hot and bothered.

If you can do it might as well go for the gold. Besides with just a cat back you really aren't going to feel that much of a difference.

with stock motor your not going to feel THAT much of a difference with full exhaust. IF you are definately planning on installing a s/c I would install a full exhaust system in a blink of an eye. However if your just going to do minor bolt-ons, well there is pretty much no difference in either set-up performance wise. The biggest difference is sound. magnaflow's cat-backs get positive gains on the dyno. I say for what your saying your best off to go with a cat-back.

my big issue is that I can't seem to find a decent system for my truck. Companies aren't making exhaust for the extended cab long bed. I can get a guy to fab up a system using whatever muffler I want, but he does not have a mandrel bender. He says his bender doesn't crimp the pipe but it does narrow it through the bend.

I think a flowmaster system will work, but I am not sure of their quality. I also am not looking for a super loud system.

Get 2 high flow cats, magnaflow muffler and headers if u really want them, this is the best way to get power.

What about blowing gaskets? I am using this for an everyday driver and I do not want to be replacing gaskets all the time
