So Dodge cant use the PT Cruiser to offset the Hemi.
At the same time, 3/4 ton and up are exempt so Ford, Dodge and Chev can shove all the 8mpg engines in those trucks as they can.

I don't know, but imo its taking them down.
I would really like to see a big v8 offered as an option for us guys who want big power. Like I said before, this engine should already be in the F150's.

I gotta agree with you I am gonna have to sit back and wait for a second or third year model to come out. Buying this one in 04 and I have had a boat load of service done on it to fix alot of annoying little problem that they worked out in the later models.
I definitley will be buying a 6.2 though without a doubt!

You are so right! It seems that the only way ford will step up the HP is if they start loosing sales, then they want to do something about it.
They can say what ever they want, dodge took some sales from them last year and thats what got the ball rolling again on this engine.
ahh, there are many ways around this. actually the current mpg testing procedures that are on window stickers are from the 70's. the EPA keeps talking bout updating them but never do. i think they're done around 77 km/h on a flat road. who really drives that speed on a highway. heck, maybe they're on a dyno with no wind resistance... who knows.
