pulling the dash off???
it wont flake off or rub off if you use quality paint. Dont use that krylon fusion crap. Use an automotive quality interior paint like SEM, that is what professionals use to re-paint interior pieces. And yes, prep work is key. Use a dish soap, or even acetone (test first to make sure it wont melt the plastic) with a scrubby pad. I used 3M maroon pads to do my 96 ranger and to this day it has held up to years of abuse from countless desert trips.

I finally just removed the dash and replaced it with a fiberglass one so i could install gauges hooked up to real senders not switches like all ford trucks :/

your truck looks great! there is someone wanting to live a shortbed f150 ext cab and i was unsure how a 6" would look and it looks a 100 X's better than i would have imagined. i like it alot!
