Hmmm. not for nothing Freeky, but thats a complete 180, compared to what you were saying just yesterday. It sounds like Kevin offered you some money or something to talk nice about him so his business doesn't go down the crapper.

Whatever....I'm just not sure I would be able to feel all warm and fuzzy again about someone who treated me the way he treated you. Your last post just seems a little fishy.

On another note...I seen where it was posted a while back that the kit was redesigned due to the problems and that he was not going to change them out for anyone. Mine still sit in a box on my bedroom floor, never installed. I guess my 2.5"kit will become a $120 set of paperweights

P.S. This post is not meant to bash anyone..Its just my feelings and opinion.

THANKS Freaky! I would have been pissed if I would have seen this after buying an AutoSpring. I will be sure to post how great the Top gun is when its in next week.
xlt04, I've got the Top Gun Customz 2" leveling kit in my '05 F150 S-cab. Love them, no difference in the comfotable ride, but can really feel the difference in height- nice. Good luck w/ yours. Brookman62

I have the Daystar 2.5 inch kit and it rubs on the coils as well. Not terrible but it does rub.

Nah, nothing fishy. I just feel a little bad. The guy does run a legitimate business and it is easy to resent someone who is successful. We all have bad days. I will probably end up pulling the Autospring off my truck and replacing it with something different. When I do, I'll sell my Autospring on ebay and make back about $80 of what I spent. I guess the only way to prove it will be to do it. Lay off of Kevin...if you had been scammed as many times as he has, you'd have a reason to be defensive too.

I hear ya man. Everyone has those days...but in a customer service position you really need to know how to keep your cool. Trust me, I do it everyday. You dont know how many times I wish I could just let loose and say whats really on my mind. But I don't, because its bad business. Like I said, I wasnt bashing anyone..I know when you said "lay off Kevin" you were talking to the masses. I just dont want anyone to think Im bashing him in any way. I actually like my Autospring Paper weight.

I'm glad you guys got it all worked out.

Mind if I ask how he has been scammed? I wouldn't expect the truck leveling industry to be big targets for scammers.

People complaining about the amount their truck was lifted or that their tires were wearing too fast, or that they heard noises after the install and wanting their money back?

Just some guesses.

I am going to agree with you on this one. 2 inches is pushing my comfort level without using a drop bracket lift. 3 inches just makes me feel un-safe just wondering when my ball joints and half shafts are going to go. Just my feelings also. I am sure most will have no probs with the Skyjacker kit, at least I hope they have no issues with premature wear.

until someone makes a 3" lift kit these level kits are going to cause problems due to the over extending of the upper and lower arms and because the angles of the upper arms are so great they really don't have much play to do the job they were engineered to do. The real solution is a 3"lift kit. The first company to do this will make alot of money......just like the 6" lift kits.

The same company (Skyjacker) that makes these 3 inch leveling kit, makes 3 inch lift kits for GM's with drop brakcets. The problem is the cost, over $1000 to buy a 3 inch lift from them is crazy IMHO . We are blessed with huge amounts of room for larger tires with no lift or with a mild leveling kit. But you are correct in saying the only true fix for people how want lifts are drop brackets which keep the factory geometry of the components.

I just want to add that I installed the 2.5" AS spacers on my truck almost two years ago and got the upper control arm clanking against the spring, I called AS and told them about the problem and they shipped out the 2" (1 5/8" spacer) that sameday no questions asked. I now have 20K on that second set of spacers without a problem. Freeky I'm glad Kevin is making it right for you, because in my experience AS gave excellent customer support.

My question is....why, if he knew there was a problem with the 2.5" kit, did he still sell it to people? Again, now im stuck with a paperweight, becasue I'm affraid to install it.

My 2" (1 5/8) hit my spring also, that was not a bother to me since it only appears cosmetic.

I have had the 2.5" kit for about 10k miles and it hits the spring causing gashes in the spring. This appears to be a very good quality kit as far as I can tell and I am satisfied with that. I just don't like the hitting like Freeky is talking about! Wish I would've known there'd be an offset Autospring b/c I would've waited.
