Exclamation this is bs, edge customer service sucks

It's been about a week now and i havent heard anything. I cant imagine those who wait 30 days plus for troyer. I have never updated it and the server still has an old one.

Current available Evolution versions:
Bootloader Version: v0.95d
Firmware Version: 08
Calibration Version: 08a

Your current Evolution versions:
Bootloader Version: v1.00a
Firmware Version: 08
Calibration Version: 08a

I decided to voice my opinion here because from the looks of it *they* (edge) reads the forum. I would have liked to discuss my issues with edge directly, but they dont respond to emails nor phone calls and i sit on hold for 10-15minutes. Anyone else have a problem with their CS ?

You could try emailing ASE Mechanic, he was the Edge engineer who was/is on this forum? He may be able to help ya out.

Ouch. What is your PCM code? Has it been reflashed since it was new? Otherwise I would think a truck built in early '04 would definitely be supported "out of the box".

I've noticed that your 04 is 4.6 2v version, maybe Edge only supports new 3v engines????

Should have gone with Troyer. No problems with customer service.

all 4.6 are still 2v as far as i know, i think it only took him a matter of days to get the edge. there are companies that can get X2s out that fast as well.

Yes, please.. Lets not start this again.

I had called edge tech support and only waited about 5 minutes. I found them helpful and knowledgable about their product.

Asinatra,

I got the same error code earlier today. I knew it was BS because I was already running the level 3 tune. I just shut of the truck, unplugged the unit for a few seconds and tried again. It worked fine. Hope you get it figured out soon, you'll like it.

I hope you get your issues resolved soon. It is very difficult to support every configuration and strategies on these newer trucks. Unfortunately you have one of those few not supported at the moment.

I have been waiting since September for SCT to release their Xcal2 firmware to do onboard datalogging. It was supposed to be released last August and as of today it has not happened yet.

So I can understand your frustration, almost, because I can still download my tunes.

Good Luck

crazy thing also happened to me yesterday, I wanted to change some of my settings too and then out of nowhere that code poped up and would not let me adjust anything other than getting the 3 tunes that come with the edge. I called and left a message to edge and i'll email them later. It worked fine before? So what was different now? I have not gone to the dealership? Can I just unplug it and wait 10-15-30 minutes and then put it back in? what do yall think? should I load the stock tune back in?

Try unplugging your Edge (with the key off), then turn the key to the ON position (but do not start the truck). Finally, plug the Edge back in and wait about 15 seconds. You should now be able to use the custom tuning option again. This procedure is also detailed in the troubleshooting section of the manual (see the last entry in that section).

Good luck!
