Very very nice. How do the pieces attach? Do you remove the factory parts or do these just go over them?
I want some!

They are 3D molded overlays literally like a second skin on the original part (see my last post above for install details). You can install them without removing the original parts.

In simple terms that make a mold using the factory part and then using that mold they vacuum form the OEM quality material to make the thin overlay. The finish (not sure how they do it) is pretty amazing, I tried scatching it will my fingernail etc and it doesn't faze it and it is VERY slick. It looks to be almost "dipped" and feels even slicker and smoother than the chrome "top cap" on the floor shifters or the inner door handles.

I am so impressed with their products I am sending them almost a complete dash/console interior setup out of a Porsche 928 so they can possibly make some of the stuff for my company.

Very very nice.
What kit did you get? I went to the web site link you posted but did not see a kit that just only had the 5 pieces you have. Probaby did something wrong but...if you could please advise. I want a kit just like you have.

Thanks.

Here is a link to a place that had the lowest online price I could find (other than direct wholesale) and is the 5-piece Kit I got (Kit # is Fo-Fo15004Co-SN)

BTW, here is a nice pic I found that shows the complete Center dash Kit. I am getting just the ashtray cover and main surround part. I think I will like the contrast of the black stereo/climate control etc. with the silver vs. the all silver look.

Just wish I had a camera as good as they have :-(

Thanks 928gt. Sorry about the two post on the install. Must of been typing away as you were explaining it.
I wonder if the carbon fiber finish is a really close match to the factory finish that is on the dash around the stereo/climate controls and door panels. Anyone know?

Thanks again.

I really like it but I don't think it'd look too good against the beige interior.

The standard Carbon Fiber finish WILL NOT match your original FX4 "Carbon Fiber"

But, as posted on Post #19....

"They have those in the original "FX4 Carbon Fiber Look", it is called "Pewter Weave". Look for "Factory Match Pewter Weave" Kits if you want the exact match to your exisitng FX4 CF"

I agree, if I had the tan interior I would go with "Factory Wood Match" or another of the wood finishes OR what might look really good with the tan/beige" would be the "Brushed Bronze" finish..

I have one more favor for you Dave. Your honest opinion of how well the satin finish matches with the other factory trim pieces, the stock carbon fiber look on the dash and doors and the painted silver look on some of the dash and console trim.
I noticed you are now going "all the way" with the rest of the kit and wondered if the satin nickle is clashing to much with the factory appearance?
I wanted the 5 piece kit but now I am wondering. Your pic's look great but nothing like seeing it live and in person so I need to look at it through your eyes.
The entire kit cost more that I really have to spend right now, especially after Christmas.

Thanks for the help.

OK.

It matches fine, and in some light conditions for example the factory door CF almost looks identical to the Satin Nickel. Due to the reflective color and very shiny surface it looks different in varing light conditions and doesn't look out of place at all

Doesn't clash at all.

You might want to consider the Chrome version for the door switch areas as this will not clash with anything and will tie in with the chrome inner door handles, chrome vent rings, and chrome shifter accents. If it wasn't for the fact my FTX came with the Titanium steering wheel and a "little" worry about fingerprints I would have definitely went with the chrome.

Understandable! I will say what ever you deide you will be VERY pleased with the upscale look the door window switch covers give your F-150 over the stock textured plastic.

Hope that helps,

Thanks for your input and help. Very Much appreciated.
Believe the satin is the way to go for me. I am like you, the finger smudges on the chrome would bug me. Would have a polishing cloth in my hands all the time. Also wondered about any bright reflections from the sun.

One more time...thanks.
