You guys are all wrong .

The low fuel warning comes on when there is 50 miles (estimated) left in the tank. This is calculated from a running average of the last 500 miles. The brains of the truck is calculating all this. Check your messaging display, watch when the DTE flips from 51 to 50 miles remaining and the fuel warning comes on.

Well, I have an FX4 with the mini Message center.

I have run mine quite a few times down and I reset the first 3 warnings multiple times. And the fourth one once. Seems like they come on every 10 miles after the first. I am told that the fifth warning you will not be able to reset. That means it's about to be walk time..

With the fourth reset I put in just over 25 gallons.. My tank, If I remember correctly, is supposed to be 26.1 gallons.... I get about 15 on the highway. All I remember about the fouth reset is my needle was already partially dropped below the last line.. I was concerned..

Im pretty sure I said that earlier. . .
