Install on Daystar and Autospring

I understand that Autospring is easier to install because complete removal of the strut is not necessary, but still don't understand why one kit requires this and the other doesn't. Maybe I don't understand because I've never personally seen the kits except for pictures on the internet. I'm confused as to why you have to compress the coil and remove the complete strut on the Daystar kit, is this because the kit installs on the bottom and top of the coil? Vs. the Autospring only installing on the top?

The difference is that the daystar plastic spacer goes between the end of the spring and the upper coil seat. This requires the full disassembly of the strut. The autospring (I have this one, and have not had a single problem) spacer goes in between the strut and the mounting tower. You will have to remove the strut, but not take it apart to put the spacer in. I did the autospring install in about 4 hrs with a buddy, but that was slow with the beer and all. Anywho, this spacer just mounts to the top of the strut, then put her back in. Done.
