Question 4" lift + nittos

hi, im a forum newbie lol

well....... i have a 2005 4x4 f150 (supercab / dark blue)

***for christmas i am going to get a 4" rancho lift for it and velocity weld racing 18" rims, and i was think`n bout going with the 35x12.5 nitto grapplers.

These nittos are pretty agressive and i was woundering how rough they ride..... and just how loud are they? my brother has 33" wranglers and i dont think those are very loud. Im new to all of this (my first truck ) and i just need some info before i make a mistake.

so my question is...... how rough are the nitto mud grapplers and how loud are they? does any one have anything to say about the 4" rancho? and also.... if these are too much for what i want (an everyday driver)..... what is a comprable tire in terms of agressiveness but good for the road????

if any one has any answeres or comments about the setup im thinking of, plz comment, and thank you.

(in case your woundering.... im 16 )

Well, first of all welcome to the forum.

I have the 4" Rancho AND 35" Mud Grapplers. The 4" Rancho is a TOP QUALITY lift kit. It rides great on-road and off-road. The ride is much better than stock with this lift kit, it feels much better on rough roads and off-road. I HIGHLY recommend this lift kit. Now onto the Mud Grapplers, they are an awesome tire. They DO NOT ride rough on the road at all but they do have a nice little hum to them. Im sure you listen to your music loud enough and you'll get use to it in a week, plus the sound is pretty damn cool. I love it. I drive my truck every single day and my work consists of me, driving a LOT, and I don't regret any of my purchases.

Echo Thumper's observations on Rancho 4".
I have Rancho 4" + 35x12.50x18 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 2006 FX4 SCAB.
Nittos are quiet although mine needed "true-ing" to stop steering wheel shimmy at 50-60 mph.
Be aware...even with 4" lift I needed to trim slightly to avoid rubbing from the 35s.

It all depends on your choice of wheel.

i think i am going to go with the super swamper radial/tsl`s..... tey look realy nice, and half the price. Are these louder... quieter... or the same compared to the nittos??? also.... are they a rough or smooth ride????? thanks

oh... and.... does any one know what the actuall lift hight is on the 6" fabtech????

I believe the 6 inch Fabtech gives you 6 inches of lift up front and 4 in the rear. The Radial TSL's are probably gonna be louder than the Mud Grapplers.
As for ATV's, I just got the 400ex a couple months ago. I mostly trail ride with it. I've been wanting on for years. We are getting the kids a Dinl 90 for Christmas and I just couldn't stand it anymore and had to get one for myself.

I disagree, TSL's have larger horizontal void's to allow for smoother airflow. They should not be as loud as the grapplers. They will also perform better offroad, but if you're a sand junkie I'd go with the mud grapp's. I've heard nothing but good about them in the sand. If you do go with the interco's, go with the SSR's, they're better at everything than the TSL's.

The Rancho 4 inch lift w/Nitto Terra Grapplers 35s ride is nice and quiet.

Get the RSX9000 adjustable shocks. You can't help but love it.....

Here is pic of mine...
