thank you for all of the responses...... i am going to go with the ssr if i go with super swampers.... i really like nittos but they are double the price of the super swampers, and i think they r both equaly nice tires....... but since the supers are half the price i am leaning towards those...... ive also heard that the nittos do great on the sand too... thats another plus to the nittos because i am always in the sand........ does anyone know how the supers do in the sand???? OH.... and i like the uneven ***** on the sidewalls of the super swampers... makes it look really agressive cruisin down the road

fordboy, you won't get a m/t, especially a swamper that will treat you right in the sand. They are strickly geared more towards mud, ie digging, so in the sand you'll have a tendency to dig yourself holes. Not to say you cant air way down, I wouldnt go less than 12 psi, and do alright, but most a/ts of similar width (ie in your case proabably 12.5) will do better in sand than a m/t. I would have to disagree with Josiah's comments about TSL's being quiet, no way. They are loud, and ride more rough than your less aggressive M/T, even the radials, bias are even worse. The idea about more spacing between the lugs making it quieter makes no sense, have you ever heard a bogger coming down the road? Sounds like a freight train.

I never said anything about any mud tire being quiet, let alone the TSL's, the mud grapps have hardly any vertical tread, wind rushes into those horizontal voids and gets pushed back out and over the coming lug, causing that pulsating humm. I have driven on both tires, check my previous posts about my comments on each.

It rides excellent. The RS9000X shocks are adjustable and you can choose how you want your ride for highway or offroad. I set my shocks on 3 and it rides nice with very little body roll.

Cheers

Dude Nitto A/Ts do NOT hum at all.

Im sorry but you were talking about buying Weld Racing wheels so why are you trying to cut corners with the tires? Just get the Nitto Mud Grapplers or the Toyo Open Country M/T.

Any kind of swamper is going to be louder, ride rougher, and wear quicker.

lol.... sorry if i offended some people with nitto a/t (terra grapplers).... but..... they just look like tires that wud be on a car is all..... im sure they ride better though... they just arent anything near agressive. and.... im cutting corners on the tires because everything else i am gettin is so expensive, i have to stay in a certain price range thumper. I am trading my parents, a lift for my truck, for a 10x5 hydrualic dump trailer that i am building, its guna cost bout 3k to build it and i could only sale it for about 6k, thats 3k profit, and my parents are going to be spending about 4-5k on the lift kit, so, im triing to go a lil cheaper than the grapplers. (also counts towards my christmas)

considering i only have the rolling chassis and the dump frame done on the trailer, i think this is pretty generouse of my parents....i still have to wire it, weld on the sides, and the sheetmetal, hook up the hydrualics and paint it

Honestly, just save up and get the Mud Grapplers or Toyo M/Ts.
