You're a little far, about 3 hours. If you're ever near Modesto/Stockton/Tracy/Manteca, let me know and I'll come to you, sounds like a killer setup.

Here's a short video of my HB horns dumping a 5 gallon tank @ 150psi (compressor off)

It won't last nearly as long when I install the K3's, but it will definitely be louder

Who would install these things if one's not up for doing it themselves? Is there welding involved, or can you just bolt everything on? Who would install something like this if ordering the kit through the website? Any ideas?

I am sure any stereo shop would install them. There is no welding involved. You just have to find a place to put everything. The wireing is pretty simple. They shouldnt charge you over 3hrs labor to install it.

Here is a link to the post about my install:

I recently picked up a Nathan/AirChime K3LA and with a dinky 1/4" inlet and only 80psi, it was clearly 3 times louder than my HB horns

I'll be using a 3/4" non restricted line and 150psi when I install this badboy
How much can I setup a K3 or K5 system for at 150psi. If you could build me a small setup I'd "join the club". I don't feel comfortable paying for the setup from hornblasters, they seem extremely overpriced ($2.5k+ for k5la's). I only want a small tank for 2 small toots every now and then, so maybe a 1 or 2 gallon @ 150psi. As I mentioned before I am not too knowledgeable about compressors and the like so it will be a learning experience but if you give me a reasonable price (no more than $600), the cheaper the better, with the loudest possible setup (I'd be extremely disappointed if it didn't scare someone) I'd be all over it. Take care

Contact Matt at HornBlasters directly....

He's usually very flexible when it comes to pricing....

In fact, I got my HB horns with solenoid from him for $189 and it arrived the very next day!!

Since AirChime won't sell directly to the public, your best bet is to try a collector or EBay....

I got my K3's for $400 shipped....

I've seen K5's go for $650 in good condition, but the usual price is around $750....

Here's a small rundown of what it cost me:

HornBlaster 4 Horn set w/Solenoid, distribution block, line fittings and 200psi line = $189

Firestone 5 Gallon/7 Port Air Tank = $49

ViAir 450c Compressor = $159

ViAir Pressure Switch Relay (110 on/150 off) = $17

Misc. Parts (pressure gauge, blow-off valve, airhose coupling, wiring, connectors, fuse holders, heatshrink, etc.) = $20

Note, the 450c is a 100% duty cycle compressor with a max psi of 200, but I've limited it to 150psi with the pressure switch....
